About the project
A portrait of an artist stands or falls with the voice — its colour, pauses and fragility. On Sad Delights I owned the sound from start to finish: from recording interviews on set, through archives of varying technical quality, to the final mix.
Working with the sound
Dialogue from the shoot had to blend with archive material so that cuts between decades never felt like a technological jump. Sound design completes the atmosphere of the studio and of memories — discreetly, never covering the testimony.

My contribution: On-set sound recording, dialogue cleanup and editing, archive material processing, sound design and final mix.
